We will be celebrating our 100th day of school on
Wednesday, January 16th. We
will do some special activities with tons of counting to 100. If you’d like to
participate in the special snack, we’d ask that you fill this baggie with 100
pieces of a snack. (Ideas: pretzel
sticks, marshmallows, chocolate morsels, goldfish, m&ms, etc.) Your
child should be able to count the objects inside the bag. J
We will put the all the snack together and make a trail mix. J Students may also dress like they are 100 years old. Thank you for your cooperation in celebrating 100 days of school. J
RBES will focus on Random Acts of Kindness from February 8th - 22nd. More information will be forthcoming about this exciting event. You have the opportunity to purchase a t-shirt for you student and entire family to help publicize the importance of kindness. Order forms were sent home in Friday Folders and you can also access HERE. Deadline to place your order is February 1st.
Don’t forget to send in spare change on Fridays for Give Burns the Boot! First Grade will collect every Friday for the year to give back to Oconee Fire. First Graders will be outside during morning carpool and inside as students get off the bus. If it is raining, we will collect in the lobby as opposed to outside, so feel free to send change into the building with your child!

We have 10 minutes in our schedule for snack time. Each student is encouraged to bring one snack to enjoy during this time. If you would please help your student pack them item in their book bag, this will help when they are trying to locate their snack. :)

We understand that changes in transportation are necessary from time to time. If you would please, either send in a hand written note for the office or call the front office with the transportation change. We can not accept email transportation changes. Thank you for understanding. :)

Please check their FISH book nightly for teachers notes, student work or messages from the office. All of the student work can be removed daily. Please check the student work to see if anything needs to corrected and returned.
When money is being sent to school, it would be very helpful if it came in a ziploc or an envelope with your student's name, my name, grade level and a brief description of what the money is for. ( lunch money, book fair, ice cream, etc.) Thank you for helping us!
